Tournament News
Barfoot & Thompson Women's Pro Am - 15th March 2021

We want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who supported the Barfoot & Thompson Women’s Pro Am held on Monday 15 March. It was great to see so many familiar faces and of course to welcome the new. We were absolutely thrilled that we could proceed without any Covid level restrictions. Sadly, we had a number of Professionals withdraw from our event as the surrounding tournaments were postponed.

Congratulations to all the winners on the day.

In particular the winning Professional player Pieter Zwart with a 7 under Par 65, Dongwoo Kang finished second at 6 under par with Tae Koh, Mason Lee and Sam An all tied for 3rd at 5 under par.

The First Amateur Prize, golf at Kauri Cliffs, 2 night stay at Ramada Taipa & use of loan car from Warkworth Toyota, going to Robin Groombridge, Jan Parish (Warkworth) and Fran Weinstein (Nth Shore) with 130 points.

2nd Prize - Heather Barnes, Jenny Foote & Sue Cook with 122 points

3rd Prize -Judi Colman, Christine Alley & Francis Nicol with 121 points

4th Prize – Diane Wright, Jennifer Parkinson & Fetu Doherty with 117

5th Prize – Lyn Crowther, Karen Woodruffe & Annette Muir with 117

6th Prize – Meralyn Radonich, Adele Fairgray & Anne Fletcher with 117

7th Prize – Judith McInnes, Yvonne Flynn & Hannah Jamieson with 117

8th Prize – Lynne Crump, Gayleen Brown & Lorraine Rimmer with 117

Entrants represented 18 different clubs with Huapai Golf Club lending us overwhelming majority support. Thank you ladies.

We have uploaded photos of the day on our Facebook page, Warkworth Golf Club. Please Like & share to view.

As organisers of this event our committee were pretty happy with the day overall. However, there can always be tweaks and improvements made. We welcome any feedback as we are already thinking of next year. A date for 2022 has not been set yet but plan for mid-March.

Thank you once again and we look forward to seeing you again next year.
